October has arrived here in St. Louis, MO and that means Halloween, with its cadre of spooks, ghosts, goblins, and spectres, will be the topic of conversation, including what costume to wear to various parties and gatherings that are happening. If you haven’t figured out your costume yet, no worries. The Icon Student Spaces Blog has some easy-to-put-together costume ideas in today’s post to spark your imagination.

Flight Attendant

This is an easy outfit to put together and you probably already have everything that you need at your apartment. A nice blouse, a pencil skirt, flats or low heels, a scarf, and a small rolling suitcase are basically all that you need. Don’t forget to put on your best fake smile!


Throw on some suspenders over a white t-shirt and wrap some white tape around the center of thick-rimmed glasses. Bring along a calculator because you never know when you might need to calculate an equation to maintain your image.

Bread Winner

All you need for this simple yet totally clever costume is a medal, a t-shirt, and a loaf of bread. You might not win best costume but at least you will have one!

Movie Theater Floor

Dress in all black and attach popcorn, old movie tickets, and empty candy wrappers all over your outfit to complete this theatrical look. Bonus: If you spill something on yourself at the party, it won't matter!

Smartie Pants

You'll look sweet enough to eat when you slip into some old trousers with Smarties candies taped all over them. Add some nerdy glasses, suspenders, and a bow-tie to complete the look.
